CelticSymbols.net was born for the purpose of satisfying a need to explore and learn more about my own roots - a need that anyone who lives outside their native country (as I do) can fully relate to.

Coupled with that is a fascination which I have always had for symbols and archetypes - the fact that they are so universal in meaning and importance yet at the same time so characteristic of the different populations and cultures. That they are so ancient and primitive, yet so constantly sought and evoked by each new generation as it seeks security and identity in an increasingly alien world.

As I began to study Celtic symbolism and gather information I began to realize how fascinating and how powerful Celtic symbols are.

It is no coincidence, in fact, that in the modern-day reawakened interest in symbols, which is manifest mainly in the tattoo trend but also in jewelry, art and music, ancient Celtic symbols are among the most popular. Why? I believe it is because the meanings of these symbols have an archetypal depth that today's younger generation, in particular, are seeking.

CelticSymbols also offers carefully selected books on the different subjects (see the categories above), as well as a rich variety of
beautiful jewelry on the different themes, such as Celtic animal symbols, the Celtic cross, magical creatures, Celtic knots, etc., jewelry which is largely hand crafted in various countries by expert jewelers and craftsmen of Celtic descent.

The subject of Celtic symbols is vast, and as I gather more information I will be adding pages, so please stop by often!
